Wan Omar

Prior to the establishment of The Malaysia Trading House Africa, Wan Omar Khan has over 20 years' experience working in the retail management sector and 7 years' experience in financial management, business consulting and project management where he was attached to several key blue-chip companies like Sasol Oil (Pty) Ltd and the Rembrandt Group, which specialises in clothing retail and fuel retail operations. During his time with the City Girl Group he was responsible for managing a retail clothing chain in South Africa. In his current capacity attached to an accounting and auditing firm, he heads up the business advisory division of Raft Business Advisory Services ( Pty) Ltd which is also an accredited auditor in the tax free zone in Malaysia called Labuan.

Wan Omar Khan has extensive experience in retail operations, business consulting, project management with in-depth operational understanding when dealing with entities in different industries. He has also been involved in various Renewable Energy projects in Africa and is an accredited Energy Auditor for the National Business Initiative.

Wan Omar Khan has gained valuable exposure via managing major projects involving national and multinational companies across the world. He is also a lifetime honorary member and Co-Founder of the Malaysia Business Council of South Africa ("MBCSA") a non-profit governmental agency backed by the Malaysian External Trade Development Agency ("MATRADE") and the Malaysian High Commission. Through his close affiliation with various governmental agencies and trade commissions, he is able to facilitate international bilateral trade across various countries.
